Maria Smith

     Maria Smith was born circa 1816 at Connecticut.1 She married Milo A. Salls, son of Isaac Salls and Margaret Doubleday, on 1 April 1859 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut; Milo was aged aged 47, and Maria was aged 43 years, both were residents of Wethersfield. The marriage was officiated by Rev. W.S. Colton.2 Maria Smith died on 18 April 1889 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut.3 She was buried at Wethersfield Village Cemetery, Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut; Maria S. Salls is buried with other Smiths, notably a George Smith and wife Lydia.4,5
     She appeared on the census of 1880 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co, Connecticut; Maria Salls, 64, b. CT was widowed and living by herself.6
