Hiram Horton

     Hiram Horton was born on 13 November 1798 at New York.¹ He was the son of Jehiel Horton and Olive Bolton. Hiram Horton married Tirzah Patterson, daughter of Joseph Patterson and Mary Billings, in November 1821; both of Jackson, NY. Hiram Horton died on 9 February 1870 at age 71. He was buried at Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge, Washington Co, New York; Sec. C 22.
     He appeared on the census of 14 June 1860 at Jackson, Washington Co, New York; Hiram Horton, 61, Terzah, 61, William Pierce, 25, Mary A. Pierce, 24, all born New York, except son-in-law William, who was born Vermont.¹
