     Frederick Samuel Salls was born on 17 July 1842 at New York.1 He was the son of Hix Salls and Mary Permelia Curtis.1 Frederick Samuel Salls married Jane Gibson, daughter of John Gibson and Mary Anne (?), before 1866.1 Frederick Samuel Salls died on 10 April 1904 at age 61.1 He was buried at Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Colton, St Lawrence Co, New York.1
     He appeared on the census of 23 June 1870 at Pierrepoint, St Lawrence Co, New York; Frederick Salls, 28, brickmaker, Jane, 28, Horace L., 4, Mary P., 3 and Harriet, 9 months, all b. NY.2
