Irving Sax Patterson was born on 29 March 1878 at Vermont.¹ He was the son of Hiram Patterson and Anna Eliza Hilliker. Irving Sax Patterson married Mildred Patterson, daughter of William Henry Patterson and Sarah Scybenda Hitchcock, before 1912. Irving Sax Patterson died on 27 September 1957 at age 79.
He appeared on the census of 1920 at Fairfax, Franklin Co, Vermont; Ervin S. Patterson, 42, b. VT, Mildred, 28, Irene O., 5, Horace E., 3, and Anna E., mother, widow, 68.²
