John Wood

     John Wood was born circa 1590 at Surrey, England; There is conflicting information on who the parents of John Wood and Margaret Carter were. At this point (2009), this writer shall enter information gleaned from a paper done by Larry Crandall-Wood. The explanations for the line he has chosen seem worthy. Would very much like to hear opinions of others on this.^1,2 He was the son of Henry Wood and Margaret Dynnes.¹ John Wood was christened on 12 April 1590 at Mitcham, Surrey, England.¹ He married Margaret Carter, daughter of Richard Carter and Margaret Batte, on 28 January 1610/11 at St Savior's, Southwark, London, England.¹ John Wood married Elizabeth (?) before 1647. John Wood died in March 1655 at Portsmouth, Newport Co, Rhode Island.
