     Vina L. Ellis was born on 18 August 1867 at New York.3,2 She was the daughter of Darius Ellis.3 Vina L. Ellis married Elmer E. Tryon, son of David Tryon and Melinda Jenkins, in 1883 at South Dakota.4,2 Vina L. Ellis died on 20 November 1934 at Potsdam, St Lawrence Co, New York, at age 67; Potsdam, Nov. 21—Mrs. Vina Lovisa Tryon, 67, widow of Elmer B. Tryon, died at the home of her brother, I. Lee Ellis of Grant Street, at 2:45 Tuesday morning after a lingering illness of about 30 years. She had only been confined to bed since Labor Day, but previous to that time she had suffered slight shocks.
Mrs. Tryon was the daughter of Darius I. and Alice Ellis and was bom at Pleasant Valley on Aug. 18, 1867. In 1882 she moved withher parents to South Dakota when the government threw open that territory. She was married to Mr. Tryon there in. 1883, and in 1890 started for the East-in a covered wagon, living at Milford, Mich.,for a time. In 1894 she and her husband arrived in New York State where they settled on a farm near Winthrop. Her husband operated a creamery and store there, and then purchased a farm on the South Colton road. About 10 years ago Mrs. Tryon moved to 69 Elm Street, this village, where she resided until two months ago when her illness caused her to reside with her brother.
Mr. Tryon died on July 1, 1919, following a stroke.
Mrs. Tryon was a member of the Potsdam Grange. She was also, a member of the Methodist Church.
There were no children, the only survivor being her brother.4
     She appeared on the census of 1910 at Potsdam, St Lawrence Co, New York; Darius I. Ellis, 65, Alice M., 64, along with daughter Vina L Tryon, 43, married for 22 years, with no children.1
