     Hiram Gibbs was born on 2 February 1812 at Farnham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Isaac Gibbs and Lydia (?). Hiram Gibbs was baptized on 26 June 1843 at St Armand Methodist Church, St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Jane Scott, daughter of John Scott and Mary Buck, on 25 November 1833 at Stanbridge Anglican Church, Stanbridge, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
