Justin S. Ball was born in March 1847 at Vermont.1 He married Eva Inez Chase on 9 May 1872 at Bennington, Bennington Co, Vermont.2 Justin S. Ball married Mary Mandina Young, daughter of Jacob Young and Lucy Reynolds, circa 1886 at Bennington Co, Vermont.1
Justin S. Ball and Mary Mandina Young appeared on the census of 2 June 1900 at Shaftsbury, Bennington Co, Vermont; Justin Ball, 53, Mary, 38, married for 14 years. Mary had borne 4 children with only two living; Alice E. Ball, 26; Julia A., 19, William, 15; and Margaret L. Quinn, 18, step-daughter.1
