Charles Everett Hickey

     Charles Everett Hickey was born on 11 May 1892 at Houlton, Aroostook Co, Maine.¹ He was the son of John Hickey and Caroline L. Daley.¹ Charles Everett Hickey married Gertrude B. Brown on 13 August 1913 at Houlton, Aroostook Co, Maine; The marriage was Charles' first and Gertrude's second. She had been divorced. He was 22 and she 20 years old.² Charles Everett Hickey died on 2 December 1973 at East Hartford, Hartford Co, Connecticut, at age 81.³
     In 1917, when Charles registered for the World War I draft, he said he was born 9 May 1892, and was then a resident of Ashland, Grafton Co, New Hampshire. He was employed by E.F. webster of Holderness, New Hampshire. There appears to be no date on the registration card.
In 1942, CHarles Registered for the draft for World War II. He was still a resident of Grafton.^4,5
