Joshua Manning Hoose was born on 27 June 1813 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.1 He was the son of Henry Hoose and Deborah Manning. Joshua Manning Hoose was baptized on 22 October 1815 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1
