     David Wood was born on 29 September 1796. He was the son of Ephraim Wood and Mary Wescott. David Wood married Abigail Fraser on 3 February 1820 at Nova Scotia. David Wood married Charlotte Huntley on 10 January 1855 at Kings Co, Nova Scotia; David Wood was a widower, and Charlotte was the widow of George Jess of Scotch Bay. They were also both of Cornwallis. David Wood died on 18 November 1875 at Cornwallis, Kings Co, Nova Scotia, at age 79.1
     He appeared on the census of 1871 at Canning, Kings Co, Nova Scotia; David Wood, 74, Baptist, Charlotte, 66, Wesleyan Methodist, and Anni (?), 17, Catholic.2
