Archibald Covey was born circa 1784 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont. He was the son of Samuel Covey and Anna Susannah Mitchell. Archibald Covey married Susanna Hall. Archibald Covey died before 1851 at Quebec.
He appeared on the census of 1810 at Bennington Co, Vermont; The census has a an Archibald Cuvey listed, but at this time, this writer has no further knowledge of him being in southern Vermont. There were six members in his household four under ten years old, 2 girls and two boys. If this is Archibald, we are missing three children.1 He appeared on the census of 1825 at Russelltown, Huntingdon Co, Quebec; The were eleven members in his family.2
