Thomas Wood

     Thomas Wood was born circa 1633 at perhaps Nuneaton, Warwick Co, England.¹ He was the son of Edward Wood and Ruth Lee. Thomas Wood married Ann Hunt, daughter of Enos Hunt and Elizabeth Best, on 7 June 1654 at Rowley, Essex Co, Massachusetts; Thomas Wood was a carpenter as early as 14 Dec 1655 when he was paid by the estate of Hugh Smith for the making of a coffin. He also appeared in Rowley records as one of six men engaged by the town to build a pen to capture wolves.¹ Thomas Wood died in September 1687 at Rowley, Essex Co, Massachusetts.¹ He was buried on 12 September 1687 at Rowley, Essex Co, Massachusetts.¹ His estate was probated on 7 November 1687 at Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; Thomas appointed as executors his wife Ann and his son, Thomas.¹
     He left a will on 21 July 1687 at Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; His will was long and detailed but proved he was son of Edward Wood in mentioning his brother Obadiah of Ipswich.¹
