Ann Hunt

     Ann Hunt was born on 17 May 1635 at Ipswich, Essex Co, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Enos Hunt and Elizabeth Best. Ann Hunt married Thomas Wood, son of Edward Wood and Ruth Lee, on 7 June 1654 at Rowley, Essex Co, Massachusetts; Thomas Wood was a carpenter as early as 14 Dec 1655 when he was paid by the estate of Hugh Smith for the making of a coffin. He also appeared in Rowley records as one of six men engaged by the town to build a pen to capture wolves.¹ Ann Hunt died on 29 December 1714 at Rowley, Essex Co, Massachusetts, at age 79.¹
