Araminta Covey was born circa 1809 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont. She was the daughter of Samuel Covey and Anna Susannah Mitchell.
There was an Araminta Covey, who had died 6 Aug 1844 and was buried in Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, Wood Co, Ohio. She had been the wife of William Crook, b. c1799. It is highly doubtful she is the same Araminta, as William Crook came to Ohio by way of Pennsylvania in 1832, and had outlived five wives. The writer is waiting to hear back from Perrysburg to see if any additional information is available on this Araminta Covey.
