     Amos Mead was born on 11 May 1778 at Manchester, Bennington Co, Vermont.1 He was the son of Timothy Mead and Phoebe Crippen. Amos Mead died on 19 February 1865 at age 86. He was buried at Waterford Cemetery, Northville, Oakland/Wayne Co, Michigan.
