     James Marcus Phillips Jr. was born on 7 January 1820 at Foucault, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.3 He was the son of James Phillips and Margaret Williams.2,3 James Marcus Phillips Jr. was baptized on 27 July 1825 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; His parents James and Margaret Phillips were of Foucault. Seth and Hannah Phillips were witnesses.3 He married Emily Ervin Covey, daughter of Samuel Covey and Anna Susannah Mitchell, on 29 January 1846 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.4 James Marcus Phillips Jr. died in 1847.
