Joanna Strutt

     Joanna Strutt was born circa 1534 at Glemsford, Suffolk Co, England.^2,1 She was the daughter of John Strutt and Catherine (?).¹ Joanna Strutt married John Belgrave on 22 September 1560 at St Mary the Virgin, Glemsford, Suffolk Co, England.^3,1 Joanna Strutt died in August 1577 at England; John Belgrave and Joanna Strutt had nine children. It is most probable that Joanna died from complications following the birth of her last child, Barbara, who was baptised 27 Jun 1577.¹ She was buried on 14 August 1577 at St Leonard's Church, Leverington, Cambridgeshire, England; Both Joanna and youngest daughter Barbara, were buried at St Leonard's. Her daughter was buried just three days later on the 17th of August.^4,1
     After marriage, they lived in Leverington, where they had nine children. Joanna probably died of complications following the birth of her last child, Barbara, who was baptised 27 Jun 1577. Both mother and child were buried the same day.⁵
