     Thomas Strutt was born circa 1490 at Glemsford, Suffolk Co, England.2 He was the son of John Strutt and Isabelle Elizabeth (?).1 Thomas Strutt married Joanne (?) in 1512 at Glemsford, Suffolk Co, England.2,1 Thomas Strutt died circa 1548 at Melford, Suffolk Co, England.1 His estate was probated on 10 December 1548 at Suffolk Co, England; (Reference: Prerogative Court of Canterbwy 19 Populwell). Ref.: T.A.G. 61:161-166; Suffolk Green Book X: 406.1 He was buried at Holy Sepulcher at Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford, Suffolk, England.3
     He left a will on 20 June 1544; The will of Thomas Strutt of I Long Melford, county Suffolk, Doicese of Norwich, yeoman..to be buried in the holy sepulcher of Melford...to the churches of Melford and Glemsford...to my wife Joan my capital place and lands in Glemsford, Melford and Welwynfield for her life, then to Sons John and Eustace...to Sons Eustace and Erasmus Strutt land in Syldenfield, Longland and Weston MilL..to wife Joan a lease in Foxearth, Essex...~2O, a featherbed, a brass pot, kettles, pewter and other movables to daughter Audrey Strutt...shop stuff at Glemsford to be sold...wife Joan and son John to be executors....Thomas Robards of Glemsford to be supervisor. Witnesses: Walter Bright, Mr. James Hyll, baker; Robert Wright, glasser, John Wacye, surgeon, John Bowght, yeoman, Edmund Jeffrey and Thomas Bowght, writer, cum multis aliis.1
