Daniel Miles Covey was born on 29 August 1804; This date was taken from his gravestone.1 He was the son of Samuel Covey Jr. and Permelia Burr. Daniel Miles Covey married Mary (?) circa 1826 at Quebec. Daniel Miles Covey died on 2 May 1873 at Leeds Co, Ontario, at age 68.1 He was buried at Willowbank Cemetery, Gananoque, Leeds Co, Ontario.1
In 1831, Daniel Covey was listed as being 26 years old on a Noyan military roster. In 1860, he and his family were living in Alburgh, Vermont with his parents Samuel Covey & Permelia Burr. He appeared on the census of 18 June 1860 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont; Daniel Covey, 55, Polly, 52, Permelia, 26, James, 21, John, 18 and Ellen, 7. ALong with the family was also Daniel's parents, Samuel, 88, born Connecticut and Permelia, 82, born New York. All others were listed as having been born in Canada.2
