William Henry Wood

     William Henry Wood was born on 15 May 1864 at Chelsea, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of William B. Wood and Anna Desire Wood.¹ William Henry Wood married Lillian Fogg Lord, daughter of George A. Lord and Emma A. Barnard, on 5 June 1888 at Brookline, Norfolk Co, Massachusetts; William, 24, was a carpenter and Lillian, 21, was a music teacher.² William Henry Wood died on 3 May 1938 at Glenolden, Delaware Co, Pennsylvania, at age 73; William and Lillian were living at 1328 Chester Ave, in Glenolden. His birthday was listed as 5 yrs later than what his birth record shows: 15 May 1869. The certificate also gives his father's birthplace as Eastport, Maine, and his mother's as Maine. The body was to be moved to Boston on 5 May 1938.³ He was buried at Boston, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.³
     He appeared on the census of 5 June 1900 at Lexington, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Wm H. Wood, 37, Lilian M., 33, Edward R., 8, all born Massachusetts; Annie D. Wood, 62, born Nova Scotia, mother, as well as Annie D. Wood, 29, born Massachusetts, sister.⁴ He appeared on the census of 15 May 1910 at Redlands City, San Bernardino Co, California; William H. Wood, 46, Lillian, 42, and son Everett R. 18. William lists himself as her father being born Maine, mother in Massachusetts.⁵ He appeared on the census of 12 January 1920 at Green Street, Philadelphia Ward 15, District 311, Philadelphia Co, Pennsylvania; William Henry Wood, 54, and wife Lillian, 52, were living with their son, Everett R. Wood, 28 and his wife, Elizabeth 26.⁶
