Patterson and Maryette Lester, on 8 September 1898 at St Helen's Church, Chasm Falls, Malone, Franklin Co, New York; Their 50th anniversary announcement mentions: Mr Patterson is the only sonof the late John and Mary Patterson, who lived at Lake Meachan. John Patterson was employed as a gardener in that area for
many years.
Mr and Mrs Oscar Patterson lived in Malone ior many years. They are the parents of seven children, all of whom are living. They are Alvado of Norfolk; Mrs. George (Mary) Murray of North Stockholm; Mrs. Ethel LaVare of Canton; Ralph of Massena; Mrs. Agnes LaValley of Chase Mills; Leslie of Canton; and Mrs. Margaret McElwain of Ogdensburg.
There are 26 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren.1
