Edson S. Magoon

     Edson S. Magoon married Bettie Patterson, daughter of John W. Patterson and Maryette Lester, on 20 July 1885 at Malone, Franklin Co, New York.¹ Edson S. Magoon died on 20 July 1916 at Franklin, Southampton Co, Virginia; He had originally lived in the northern part of Franklin County, but moved with his parents to the Leonard district in malone, where he resided for many years. He had moved about 15 yrs earlier from Malone. He is survived by his wife Bettie, and three sons and a daughter: Watson, Elton and Gladys, of Franklin, Virginia, and LeRoy of Baltimore. He died from a shock that had disabled him for some time.²
