     Maria Patterson was born on 22 February 1841 at Quebec.2,3,1 She was the daughter of Hiram Patterson and Amanda (?).1 Maria Patterson married Israel B. Luther.4 Maria Patterson died on 28 February 1920 at Craftsbury, Orleans Co, Vermont, at age 79; The death certificate gives her father's name as James Patterson, mother unknown, so the informant was not very familiar with her past. She died from "carcinoma of calcium", after induring the disease for six months.2 She was buried at Herbert Lawton Memorial Advent Cemetery, East Hereford, Compton Co, Quebec.3
