     John Hovey was born in February 1700/1 at Malden, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of James Hovey and Deborah Barlow. John Hovey married Rebecca Hall on 19 January 1749 at Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut.2 John Hovey died on 8 October 1775 at Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut, at age 74.3 He was buried at Mansfield Center Cemetery, Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut.4
