Mary Jane Frost

     Mary Jane Frost was born on 5 November 1868 at Dorset, Bennington Co, Vermont; Her death certificate indicates her birthyear was 1868, just as her marriage certificate did with Nathan Salls. Her gravestone says 1863.^1,3,2 She was the daughter of John Frost and Angeline Tifft.² Mary Jane Frost married Nathan Salls, son of Isaac Salls Jr. and Mary Melissa Derick, on 15 August 1884 at Manchester, Bennington Co, Vermont; Nathan Salls was aged 33 and Mary J. was 16.² Mary Jane Frost and Nathan Salls were divorced on 8 June 1906 at Vermont; There is a John Stone, born 1887, died 1918 buried with Mary and her 2nd husband Allen Hosley.⁴ Mary Jane Frost married Allen Lucious Hosley, son of David Harley and Emily Slade, on 11 March 1908 at Vermont; Allen was aged 51 at the time of marriage, and Mary Jane was 39, and it was her second marriage. She used her maiden name on the certificate.⁵ Mary Jane Frost died on 29 September 1929 at Manchester, Bennington Co, Vermont, at age 60.^1,3 She was buried at Factory Point Cemetery, Manchester, Bennington Co, Vermont.³
