Edward Renfrew Pinkham

     Edward Renfrew Pinkham was born in May 1866 at Quebec.1 He married Elizabeth Maria Salls, daughter of Isaac Salls Jr. and Mary Melissa Derick, on 28 October 1882 at Derby Line, Orleans Co, Vermont. Edward Renfrew Pinkham died in April 1906 at Cabot, Washington Co, Vermont, at age 39; "Mr. Ed Pinkham was accidentally killed while operating a gasoline sawing machine in Cabot, Vt. He was once a resident here & married a sister of Mr. N. N. Salls of this place."2
     He appeared on the census of 25 June 1900 at Cabot, Washington Co, Vermont; Edward Pinkham, 34, Eliza 35, and daughter Mabel, 11. They had been married 19 years and had two children. They were living with their oldest daughter, Grace's family.
This particular census shows both Edward and Eliza to be younger than they must have been. Going by this, Edward would have been born in May 1866, and Eliza in Jan 1865.1
