     Sir William de Bohun was born in 1312 at Northamptonshire, England.1 He was the son of Humphrey VIII De Bohun and Princess (?) Elizabeth of England. Sir William de Bohun married Elizabeth Badlesmere, daughter of Bartholomew de Badlesmere and Margaret de Clare, on 27 June 1316 at Ernwood Manor chapel, Kinlet, Shropshire, England.2 Sir William de Bohun died on 16 September 1360 at London, England.1 He was buried at Walden Abbey, Saffron Walden, Essex, England.1
     William de Bohun, Earl of Northampton, was a major military figure during the Hundred Years War. He commanded one of the three divisons under King Edward III at the battle of Crecy in 1346, and was later created a Knight of the Garter. William de Bohun was born circa 1312 as one of twin sons (Edward & William) to Humphrey de Bohun VII, 4th Earl of Hereford & Essex, and his wife Elizabeth Plantagenet the daughter of King Edward I and Eleanor of Castile. William de Bohun married Elizabeth Badlesmere, daughter of Bartholomew Badlesmere, in 1335. Children of William de Bohun and Elizabeth Badlesmere were: Humphrey de Bohun IX who married Joan Fitz-Alan, and Elizabeth de Bohun who married Richard Fitz-Alan, Earl of Arundel.1
