Charles McMahon was born circa 1844.3 He was the son of Charles McMahon.2 Charles McMahon married Elizabeth Hart Bigham, daughter of Andrew Bigham and Ann Stranaghan, on 18 October 1870 at Drumgath Parish, County Down, Ireland; Charles McMahon was of Dromore and Essy Hart was of Drumarkin. Witnesses were his father and her sister, Martha Jane.2
