Daniel Rice was born on 8 November 1655 at Sudbury, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Deacon Edward Rice and Agnes Bent. Daniel Rice married Bethiah Ward, daughter of William Ward and Elizabeth Hall, on 10 February 1681. Daniel Rice married Elizabeth Wells on 9 May 1725. Daniel Rice died on 14 July 1737 at Marlborough, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 81; Ward claims he died the 6th of July.¹ His estate was probated on 19 December 1737; Edward Wilson was executor.¹
He left a will on 5 May 1729; The will named sons Daniel, Luke, Eleazer; son-in-law Edward Wilson and Hopestill, his wife; daughters Bethiah Newton and Judith Rice. Ward speculates that wife Elizabeth was not living as she was not named in the will.¹
