Augusta E. Tryon was born circa 1848 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She was the daughter of Timothy L. Tryon and Susan (?). Augusta E. Tryon was born on 15 December 1851; gravestone inscription. She married Ashley M. Miller circa 1871.2,3 Augusta E. Tryon died on 30 September 1926 at Chimney Point, Addison Co, Vermont; Her funeral notice mentioned she left five children, Arthur of Whitehall, Wallace of Massachusetts, Roy of Willsboro, Lila McEvila of Chimney Point, and Catherine Isenhower of Westport. The service was held from the Methodist church at Wadhams.4 She was buried on 2 October 1926 at Wadhams Cemetery, Wadhams, Essex Co, New York.4
She appeared on the census of 1880 at Elizabethtown, Essex Co, New York; Augusta Tryon was enumerated with the family of Calvin and Caroline Pratt as their domestic servant. She was listed as aged 20.5 She and Ashley M. Miller appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 at Saranac, Franklin Co, New York; Ashley Miller, 52, Augusta, 49, married 29 years, five children, all living. Enumerated with them were: Leroy, 22, Wallace, 16, and Sallie, 6, all b. New York.3
