     Alice Lydia Tryon was born in May 1855 at New York. She was the daughter of Timothy L. Tryon and Julia A. James. Alice Lydia Tryon married Warren J. Wescott, son of Nelson Wescott and Amanda Hodges, circa 1893.2 Alice Lydia Tryon died on 5 October 1922 at Westport, Essex Co, New York, at age 67; She died of heart disease. One article calls her Mrs. Alice Tryon, and being the mother of Truman and Timothy Tryon. The other calls her Mrs. Alice Tryon Wescott.3,4 She was buried at Hoisington Cemetery, Westport, Essex Co, New York.4
     She appeared on the census of 1910 at Westport, Essex Co, New York; Alice andd husband Warren J. Wescott were living with her father, Timothy. The record indicates that she and Warren had been married 17 years, and that she was the mother of seven children, with five still living.2
