Jeremiah Gibbs

Jeremiah Gibbs was born circa 1769 at Rhode Island.1 He married Deborah Covey, daughter of Samuel Covey and Anna Susannah Mitchell, circa 1802. Jeremiah Gibbs died on 25 November 1858 at Bangor, Franklin Co, New York.2 He was buried at Wylie Cemetery, Bangor, Franklin Co, New York.2
The Annual Roll of Capt. John Dewar's Company in 1818 listed Jeremiah Gibbs as a private, then aged 50 years, and married. He appeared on the census of 25 July 1850 at Bangor, Franklin Co, New York; Jeremiah was aged 84 and living with the family of his son, Russell Gibbs.1
