     Alonzo Derick was born on 6 June 1817 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of William Derick and Melinda Hurlbut. Alonzo Derick was baptized on 3 May 1818 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Caldwell's Manor & Christie's Manor Anglican Church. He married Elizabeth Cannon on 7 August 1844 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Henry Derick, his cousin and Sarah Aller were witnesses.1 Alonzo Derick married Charlotte Ellis on 11 March 1865 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Clarenceville Anglican Church. Alonzo Derick died on 7 October 1890 at age 73.2 He was buried at Union Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3
