     John Derick was born on 29 July 1810.1 He was the son of Conrad Derick and Katherina Kolhammer. John Derick was baptized on 21 January 1812 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Ophelia Edy on 3 September 1837 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.2 John Derick married Sarah Ann Bush on 6 February 1847 at Clarenceville Methodist Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3 John Derick died on 28 March 1855 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 44.4,5 He was buried on 30 March 1855 at 3rd Concession Cemetery, Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.6
