     Philip Hank Derick was born on 3 September 1821 at Quebec.1 He was the son of Henrich Derick and Anna Maria Young. Philip Hank Derick married Laura Derick, daughter of Jacob Derick and Candace Patterson, on 2 April 1845 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Witnesses were Henry Derick, George Hislop and Mary E. Young.2 Philip Hank Derick died on 3 February 1918 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 96.3 He was buried on 5 February 1918 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3
     He appeared on the census of 1901 at Saint-Thomas, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Philip H. Derick, 79, along with his wife, Laura, 77.1
