     Avis Cecilia Hislop was born on 28 October 1858 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She was the daughter of George Hislop and Emily Derick. Avis Cecilia Hislop was baptized on 29 May 1859 at Clarenceville Methodist Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 She died on 17 April 1878 at age 19.3 She was buried at Union Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.4
