Mary Ann Young was born on 23 July 1812 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.^1,2 She was the daughter of Johannes Young and Lydia Ann Covey. Mary Ann Young was baptized on 29 January 1813 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ She married Reuben Douglas on 6 February 1832 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³ Mary Ann Young married Maurice Ashley Guyette on 23 December 1837.⁴ Mary Ann Young died on 12 December 1893 at Baldwin, Sherburne Co, Minnesota, at age 81; Mrs. Mary Guyette who died at Frank Wheeler's residence in Baldwin last Wednesday, was interred in the Baldwin Burying Ground on Saturday. She was almost 82 years old, was a native of lower Canada and has been a resident of Baldwin for 28 years.^5,2 She was buried on 15 December 1893 at Baldwin Cemetery, Princeton, Sherburne Co, Minnesota.^5,2
