     John Wheeler was born on 30 May 1805 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Joseph Wheeler and Hannah Brown. John Wheeler was baptized on 5 October 1815 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Catherine Young, daughter of Johannes Young and Lydia Ann Covey, on 29 November 1825 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
