     William Whitfield Scott was born on 22 April 1845 at Farnham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Freeman Scott and Nancy Welch. William Whitfield Scott was baptized on 26 April 1846 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St Armand Methodist Church. He married Jeanette Kirk, daughter of David Kirk and Margaret Bennet, on 18 November 1874 at Farnham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Farnham Presbyterian Church. William Whitfield Scott died on 20 February 1918 at Manchester, Hillsborough Co, New Hampshire, at age 72.1
