     Richard Tryon was born circa 1822 at Quebec. He was the son of William Tryon and Sarah Scott. Richard Tryon married Electa (?) circa 1846. Richard Tryon died on 9 January 1885 at Brushton, Franklin Co, New York; The stone was transcribed as 19 Jan 1885.1 He was buried on 11 January 1885 at Sunnyside Cemetery, Gale Road, Brushton, Franklin Co, New York; His stone reads that he was 63 years old.1 His estate was probated on 9 March 1885 at Surrogate Court, Franklin Co, New York.2
     He left a will on 6 June 1884; Richard Tryon left his wife Electa, for her natural life, all household furniture, goods, chattel, personal property and real estate consisting of his lot situated Brushton and one half of his farm situated in Bangor where his son Wallace then resided. After the death of Electa, daughters Sarah R. Blood, and Isabel Tryon, the house and lot in Brushton. To his son, Wallace, half of the house in which he then resided in Bangor. To his son Wills, he willed $500 to be paid within a year of his wife's decease by Wallace.
He gave his daughter Helen Crinklaw my house and lot situated on the road from Brushton to Bangor. He also empowered his executors to sell the 16 1/2 acre lot to cover any funeral expenses and the rest to go to Helen Crinklaw. His executors were Edward J. Blood and Wallace Tryon.3
