Mary Tryon

     Mary Tryon was born on 14 July 1832 at Quebec; Her death certificate indicates she was born in Moira, New York.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Tryon and Sarah Scott. Mary Tryon married William O. Allen, son of Alexander Allen.³ Mary Tryon died on 14 October 1901 at Kimble Street, Pembroke, Merrimack Co, New Hampshire, at age 69; The cause of death was listed as Nervous Prostration aith Overwork as a contributing cause, and that duration was a lifetime. Parents were listed as William Tryon, born Connecticut and Sallie Scott, born in Canada. Mentioned she had lived there for 35 years. Her previous address was New York.^4,1 She was buried on 17 October 1901 at Head Cemetery, Hooksett, Merrimack Co, New Hampshire.⁴
      Mary Tryon also went by the name of Polly Tryon.² She and William O. Allen appeared on the census of 6 July 1860 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; William O. Allen, 37, b. MA and wife Polly Allen, 28, b. Canada, were living in the household with Richard Tryon and his wife Electa.⁵
