Elmira Bryant

     Elmira Bryant was born circa 1812 at Bombay, Franklin Co, New York.¹ She married Philander Tryon, son of William Tryon and Sarah Scott, circa 1828. Elmira Bryant died on 12 March 1886 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Mrs. Philander Tryon died at the home of her son, Julius Tryon, on last Friday morning, and her funeral services were held at eleven o'clock Sunday. Mrs. Tryon was born in 1812, and was the mother of a large family, most of whom are still living.^1,2 She was buried at Moira Cemetery, Moira, Franklin Co, New York.²
     She appeared on the census at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Almira Tryon, 67, Emma Hill, 33, and Francis Hill, 4.³ She appeared on the census of 27 June 1870 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Almira Tryon, 57, Elsie, 26 and Emer, 23, along with John Hill, 3 and Una D. Hill, 1, all b. New York.⁴ She appeared on the census of 8 June 1880 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York; Almira Tryon, 67, Emma Hill, 33, and Francis Hill, 4.³
