     Micajah Townsend Tryon was born on 28 January 1834 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Benjamin Tryon and Hannah A. Salls. Micajah Townsend Tryon married Isadora Rice, daughter of Cornelius Rice, on 3 April 1855 at New York.1 Micajah Townsend Tryon married Caroline Phoebe Adams, daughter of Daniel Adams, in 1895; After their marriage, they lived in a house on East Main Street in one one of the houses built by him until his death in 1902.2 Micajah Townsend Tryon died on 8 August 1902 at Ogdensburg City Hospital, Ogdensburg, St Lawrence Co, New York, at age 68; "Last Friday at 7 PM occurred the death of Micajah Tryon. He died at Ogdensburg City Hospital where he had undergone a surgical operation. For several years Mr. Tryon had been a resident of Winthrop, and he was very highly respected by those who knew him. He leaves a wife and four children, Mrs. Alexander, Albert, Clement and Howard, of New Rochelle. His funeral was held Sunday at the M.E. church, Brasher Falls; interment at Brasher Falls."3 He was buried on 10 August 1902 at Fairview Cemetery, Brasher Falls, St Lawrence Co, New York.3,1
     He appeared on the census of 22 August 1870 at Stockholm, St Lawrence Co, New York; Micajah Tryon, 35, Isadore, 32, Alfred, 12, Howard, 7, Della, 3; Sarah Burk, 16, and George Woolsworth, 15, domestic servants, as well as Lebbeus Curtis, 22, farm laborer.4
