     Lebbeus M. Curtis was born in October 1847 at Vermont.1 He was the son of Amasa Curtis. Lebbeus M. Curtis married Emma Fidelia Tryon, daughter of Benjamin Tryon and Hannah A. Salls, on 1 January 1872 at St Lawrence Co, New York.2,3 Lebbeus M. Curtis died on 4 October 1922; gravestone. He was buried at Brookdale Cemetery, Lot 35, Section A, Row 4, Brookdale, St Lawrence Co, New York.4
     He appeared on the census of 1900 at Stockholm, St Lawrence Co, New York; Lebbeus Curtis, 52, Emma, 52, having been married 18 years, with no children. Their neice, Blanche, born March 1884, aged 16, born NY, parents b. NY, was living with them.1 He appeared on the census of 13 May 1910 at Stockholm, St Lawrence Co, New York; Lebbeus M. Curtis, 62, Emma F., 62, Bernice E., 7, adopted daughter. Lebbeus and Emma had been married 38 years and she had no natural children.3
