Adeline Adelia Young

     Adeline Adelia Young was born on 16 November 1835 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of John Young Jr. and Emerline Patterson. Adeline Adelia Young was baptized on 26 August 1838 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ She married Rutherford D. Scott, son of Thomas Scott Jr and Mary Bullis, on 8 March 1853 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² Adeline Adelia Young died on 23 February 1917 at Menasha, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin, at age 81; death certificate Winnebago Courthouse, Vol 24, p 53. The burial record says she died the 25th of Feb, and was buried the 27th.³ She was buried on 25 February 1917 at Neenah, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin; Oak Hill Cemetery.
     She and Marshall John Scott appeared on the census of 14 June 1900 at Menasha, Winnebago Co, Wisconsin; Mark Scott, 38, b. Feb 1862, single; Adeline, mother, 64, b.Nov 1835, wid; and Grace, 25, b. May 1875, married. Grace had borne two children, with none living.⁴
