Jane Tryon

     Jane Tryon was born in 1814 at Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ She was the daughter of David Tryon Jr and Jane Crawford. Jane Tryon married John E. Spear on 22 March 1841 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² John E. Spear filed for separation from Jane Tryon; On 17 February 1849, there was a document (#2075) passed before a notary concerning the voluntary separation between John E. Spear and Jane S. Tryon, his wife. She died on 17 November 1895 at Marcellus, Cass Co, Michigan; Her age was given as 81 years, and is listed as widowed and a housewife, although parents listed as David and Jane Tryon and her last name as Tryon.¹
     She appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at Allegan, Cheshire Co, Michigan; Jane Tryon, 62, "aunt", was shown living with her niece Jerusha Jane Marble. She was listed as either widowed or divorced, and father born Vermont and mother New York.³
