Sylvia A. Tryon

     Sylvia A. Tryon was born on 1 September 1836 at Quebec.^1,2 She was the daughter of Abel Tryon and Sarah Lewis. Sylvia A. Tryon married John Watts Jr circa 1857 at New York.³ Sylvia A. Tryon married Elias S. Morrison. Sylvia A. Tryon died on 6 March 1914 at Spokane, Spokane Co, Washington, at age 77; She was aged 77 years, 6 months, and 5 days.¹ She was buried at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane, Spokane Co, Washington.⁴
     She appeared on the census of 29 July 1870 at Austin, Mower Co, Minnesota; Sylvia Watts was aged 35, keeping house, and with her two sons, Orville, 9, and Ellsworth, 7, both born New York. Thomas Morrison, 80, born England, was living with them.⁵ She appeared on the census of 1880 at Waseca, Waseca Co, Minnesota; In 1880, Elias Morison, aged 37, b. New York (parents born Ireland and PA), along with wife Silvia, aged 45, born Canada, had in the household her two sons, Orville 19 and Elsworth 17.⁶ She and Elias S. Morrison appeared on the census of 2 June 1900 at Spokane, Spokane Co, Washington; Elias Morrison, 61, b. NY, Sylvia, 64, b. Canada, and boarder Minnie Dye, 24, b. MN.² Sylvia A. Tryon and Elias S. Morrison appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at Spokane, Spokane Co, Washington; Elias Morrison, 69, Sylvia A., 74, Earl Watts, 19, grandson, and Florence Yothers, boarder, 11.⁷
