Howard Ira Tryon was born on 28 April 1864 at New York.1 He was the son of Micajah Townsend Tryon and Isadora Rice. Howard Ira Tryon married Georgetta Louise Burnap on 28 June 1893 at East Stockholm, St Lawrence Co, New York; Gouvereur Herald announcement. Howard Ira Tryon died in 1945.1 He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Brasher Falls, St Lawrence Co, New York.
Five hundred friends gathered in the gymnesium of Daniel Webster school in New Rochelle on 27th January 1932 to honor Howard after teaching for 44 years, 34 of them in New Rochelle.
He had graduated Potsdam Normal School , and obtained his degree from NYC Teachers' College.
He and his wife left for Bradenton, Florida several days later.2
