     Clement Durwood Tryon was born on 22 June 1876 at Brookdale, St Lawrence Co, New York. He was the son of Micajah Townsend Tryon and Isadora Rice. Clement Durwood Tryon married Sadie Reid, daughter of John Reid and Martha Hinkley, on 24 December 1896 at St Lawrence Co, New York.1 Clement Durwood Tryon died on 20 May 1939 at Winthrop, St Lawrence Co, New York, at age 62; For many years, according to his obituary, C.D. Tryon and his wife lived on the farm homestead where he was born. Clement Tryon was employed by the First National Bank of Winthrop from 1 May 1922 until his resignation dated 5 Jun 1936. In 1923, Clement and Sadie Tryon moved to Winthrop. He was very interested in education, serving on the board there for several years and was known to have given a prize to the senior class valedictorian each year. He was also a member of the Methodist church where he taught men's Sunday school. He was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Brasher Falls, St Lawrence Co, New York.
